Teeth Whitening
Achieving a brighter, whiter smile has become the primary aesthetic concern for many patients. Fortunately, tooth whitening, also known as bleaching, is an effective and non-invasive dental treatment that can help enhance your smile. The treatment works on natural tooth enamel, so if you plan to undergo any other cosmetic or restorative procedures for your front teeth, it’s recommended to do so after whitening. Tooth whitening can be performed either by customizing trays for at-home use or with in-office treatments.
Dental Cleanings
During the cleaning, tartar and plaque are removed, and the teeth are polished to remove any remaining stains. There is no such thing as a typical cleaning with Elements Dental Studio. Our team provides comprehensive preventative services for all of our patients of Lincolnwood. We recognize that the foundation of optimal oral health begins with proper dental hygiene. Dental cleanings and exams are two of the most basic yet important preventative treatments we provide.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dental procedures are designed to enhance the appearance of your teeth and smile. There are many options available to address different cosmetic concerns. However, it is crucial to prioritize the overall health of your smile before considering any cosmetic treatments. Ensuring that you have a healthy foundation is essential for maintaining a beautiful smile in the long term. By finding the right balance between health and aesthetics, you can enjoy a radiant, confident smile for years to come.
Veneers
Dental veneers can both improve your smile and protect it from damage with minimal impact on natural tooth structure. Our dentists can help restore your confidence and improve your smile’s appearance with veneers. This dental technique can correct noticeable flaws such as chips, cracks, stains/discolorations and unevenness between teeth. Veneers may simply revitalize teeth that look old or worn-down.
Dental Fillings
Fillings are used to repair a tooth damaged by decay, cracks, and minor fractures. Tooth-colored fillings are called composite fillings. The tooth will be numbed, thoroughly cleaned of decay, and carefully prepared for the new filling. Once the tooth is prepared, the filling will be precisely placed, sculpted, and polished, restoring your tooth to its original shape and function.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve person’s smile. Bonding is also fairly non-invasive and can usually be completed in one visit at our office, which serves patients of Lincolnwood.
Dental Implants
Dental implants provide a single site permanent solution for missing teeth. The implant procedure has two phases: In the first phase, one of our Lincolnwood dentists or periodontists uses imaging to assess the quality of the bone. Molds are taken to ensure that the implant is placed in the optimal location. The dentist or periodontist places a titanium screw (the implant) into the jaw bone. This titanium screw integrates into the bone and acts as the root of the tooth. After a period of 3-4 months, the implant will be completely integrated into the bone. Once complete healing of the implant is verified, the dentist will begin the process of fabricating a custom abutment (connection piece) and crown. The end result will be a beautiful and natural looking artificial tooth.
Crowns
A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth, restoring it to its original shape and size. Crowns are a good treatment option when the integrity of a given tooth has been damaged to the point where fillings or other types of restorations cannot properly repair it. Placing a crown will generally require two appointments. At the first appointment, the dentist will numb the tooth, remove decay, and shape the remaining surface to properly fit the crown. A mold, or impression, will then be taken of the tooth for creating your custom crown. The dentist will cement a temporary crown in place and check your bite to ensure that it has been properly placed. This will function for you as a normal tooth for about two weeks while your permanent crown is fabricated in a dental laboratory. Once the permanent crown is finished, you will return to the dentist’s office to have your new crown carefully set in place. The high durability of crowns helps them to last many years, but they may eventually need to be replaced.
