Covid-19
A New Normal
The only constant in life is change, and when we reopen our doors, you will notice that your dental experience will be quite different. We are closely following the recommendation put forth by the CDC and OSHA in order to create a safe space for both our patients and our staff. We have always adhered to the highest level of infection control, but due to COVID-19 extra precautions are being taken.
When you call to schedule your appointment, you will be given a Covid screening questionnaire to assess any history of illness or travel.
We ask that you arrive at your appointment alone with a mask on. If the appointment is for a child, only one caregiver can attend the appointment.
At the time of your appointment, we will greet you at the door and take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer. If your temperature exceeds 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. Once your temperature is taken, we will provide you with a hydrogen peroxide rinse to use prior to being seated in the chair.
During certain procedures, the doctor and the assistant will be wearing additional extra PPE, such as surgical gowns, N95 masks, eye protection and a face shield. A high volume suction will be used during all procedures including cleanings. We have installed UV air filters in both of the treatment rooms and the waiting area in order to constantly scrub the air. We will also be using a hypochlorous acid solution via a ultra-low volume fogger to disinfecting the rooms and waiting areas during the day.
We look forward to the day when we can go back to normal, to talk with out barriers, to smile and maybe even hug! But until then, we will focus on the safety and wellbeing of our community.
